Los Cuñados Taqueria – El Amor Por Juarez

Los Cuñados Taqueria – El Amor Por Juarez

Overall Bites:

Value: ALL THIS FOOD and only $20 for the 3 of us! Have got to love Mexico! If you’re ever in El Paso (or a border city), bring your passport! You’d want to cross over and have a meal here. FYI, the exchange rate from dollars to pesos is probably the best rate I’ve seen in my life. $1(dollar) = $17 (pesos)

Taste: You haven’t had Mexican food until you’ve gone to Mexico, obviously. The tacos are perfectly loaded with the filling of your choice and the portion size is phenomenal. I had 2 tacos de carne asada con queso fundido and 2 tacos de tripitas. (here are links to queso fundido and tripitas)

Presentation: The presentation was great, I have no complaints about how they serve their food! These pictures make me crave them!

Vibe: We went pretty late, it was a Sunday maybe around 9 p.m. (yes we are always eating) but the vibe was good and there wasn’t very many customers. The waiter was very good about refilling our drinks when needed. The decor was simple and clean, not very much on the walls but it is a well presented restaurant.

Accessibility: I’ll be the first to tell you guys it can get pretty confusing being in a place where you aren’t familiar with. Los Cuñados isn’t hidden and is on one of the more popular streets in Juarez. Most cellphone carriers now also offer services in Mexico so you’ll be able to GPS the location!

Mexican food. I’d say I’m biased when it comes to saying Mexican food is the best ever! Again, everyone will say that about the food they grew up eating. I love Juarez and growing up in a border city has shown me the best of both worlds. I also know we have so many reviews on tacos, but who doesn’t love tacos? Even if it isn’t Tuesday we want to show you all the best places to eat them! What better place than a place where they have a salsa bar and in Mexico?

Now, I had tacos de tripitas (if I translate that to english, you wouldn’t want to try lol) but they are so gooooood! These tripitas were toasted and bronzed to perfection and paired so well with the salsa. The tortilla didn’t fall apart and I think that’s one of the most important things about tacos. The serving was great. Just look at the pictures and you will also see that I had two tacos of carne asada con queso fundido (melted cheese). The carne asada was perfect, not chewy, not tough, but just right. The queso fundido was melted perfectly but I don’t know that anyone can ever not melt cheese perfectly. The salsa bar had a great variety of condiments. It ranged from grilled onions, raw onions to pico de gallo and different salsas! The only downfall was that it was a bit messy and that’s why they ONLY received 4.5 Bites. The food was great. The vibes were great. We were so satisfied with them!

They have a couple of locations in Juarez check them out! Give them a like on Facebook!
