OVERALL BITES:

Value: Gabriel’s Cafe is a Mexican restaurant that offers good pricing and excellent service. $10.99 for my meal was decent especially because the flavor was amazing.

Taste: Their food was great. I wasn’t expecting very much but this taste was so authentic and flavorful.

Presentation: The presentation was fine. It isn’t too much to talk about but I didn’t mind how my food was plated.

Vibe: We went around 2pm for lunch and it was not packed. They have maybe about 20 tables and only 5 of them were taken. I remember hearing Mexican music but we were into our food so we really didn’t pay attention.

Accessibility: Gabriel’s Cafe really isn’t hard to find. It is on the corner of Zaragoza and Alameda. You’ll see they have a parking lot which is a good size so you’ll have plenty space to park.

Review – Gabrie’s Cafe

It was a Saturday afternoon and I was more than ready for lunch. I work with people so I just wanted to escape for a little and well, of course, eat. We didn’t go very far from where we were at and we have never tried Gabriel’s Cafe. Thats where we decided to go.

We went in and they seated us fairly fast. We were able to pick where we sat. Once we chose where to sit our server came pretty promptly to take our drink order. “Dos limonadas porfavor.” The lemonade was good but not as good as the second batch. The chips and salsa were complimentary. As we were looking over the menus we noticed that they seemed a little worn out and probably should have been replaced.

Gordita plate and Pollo Ranchero. The gorditas were stuffed with ground beef and potatoes, lettuce and cheese. Rice and beans on the side. The Pollo Ranchero was a chicken breast smothered in chile con queso. It included a baked potato, frijoles charros and a homemade tortilla on the side. I’ll have you know that the tortillas are homemade. Although, they aren’t made at this particular location. They are made at their other one. Everything tasted so good and filled us up pretty well. Not too salty, not too spicy. JUST RIGHT.

I was very impressed with the taste of Gabriel’s Cafe, very impressed with their service and the vibes are great when you have great company. Make sure to check them out at both of their locations!
